Born and raised right here in Sarasota, Florida our January highlight started as a food runner at Libby's Cafe + Bar and six years later is the General Manager for Muse at The Ringling. Let us introduce you to our recent University of South Florida graduate and man about The Ringling properties, Josh Wood.
Congratulations on your new management position Josh! How are you liking this new role?
Moving from back of house into front of house operations has been a fun transition for me. I like being able to provide exceptional experiences for our guests. And since I am able to manage both sides of the restaurant business effectively my hope is our guests feel that they can relax and be taken care of from all aspects.
Now, you manage the beautiful Muse at The Ringling restaurant, but that's not all, correct?
Correct. I also oversee the operations of The Banyan Cafe and the Coffee Shop here on The Ringling grounds.
Sounds like a lot! What do you enjoy most about being in this fun-filled hospitality field?
Being able to engage with our guests and help them to feel at home in our restaurants has to be the best part of the job. For me, having been with TableSeide Restaurant Group for six years I know every guest who leaves our doors becomes another TableSeide ambassador. I take great pride in ensuring that our guests feel as taken care of here as they would at any of our other restaurants. Your family, is our family...it's the TableSeide way!
With that being said, what do you think a valued guest would say about you?
My hope is they would comment on my staff and I's attention to detail at every visit.
And when you are not in Muse at The Ringling, The Banyan Cafe, or The Coffee Shop what do you like to do?
My main passion outside of work is weightlifting. And like any true member of a hospitality family, I enjoy dining out at some of Florida's finest restaurants.
Where do you see yourself and/or TableSeide Restaurant Group in the next 3-5 years?
For myself, I'd like to finish my MBA and star the journey of a fun family life. For TableSeide Restaurant Group I'd like to see us grow as exponentially in the next 3-5 years as we have in the last 3-5.
